Breastfeeding is often described as “natural” – but that doesn’t always mean it’s easy.
For many families, the early days can bring as many questions as they do special moments. From concerns about milk supply and latching to expressing, pumping or feeding a baby in neonatal care, every journey is different. One thing remains constant, though: the right support can make all the difference.
That’s why, for World Breastfeeding Week, Ardo is partnering with Boobingit for a special Instagram Live exploring The Truth About Breastfeeding Support.
A conversation from every perspective
Hosted by Ruth from Boobingit, this live discussion brings together three unique voices:
- Hannah Croft, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), sharing evidence-based breastfeeding guidance.
- Vijithaa, an New Mum, reflecting on her personal breastfeeding and NICU journey with her son, Leo.
- Andrea Davies, Ardo Territory Manager for the South West and Midlands, who works closely with NHS maternity teams and healthcare professionals to support families with infant feeding and breast pump solutions.
Together, they’ll explore what support really looks like—and why no parent should have to navigate breastfeeding alone.

What we’ll be talking about
The discussion will cover:
- Why breastfeeding can be more challenging than many parents expect

- How expressing and pumping can support breastfeeding in a variety of situations
- Practical advice for new parents and those supporting them
The live session will also include audience questions, giving parents the opportunity to hear trusted advice from an experienced lactation consultant while learning from real-life experiences.
Because support looks different for everyone
Support might come from a partner making you a cup of tea during a late-night feed. It might be reassurance from a midwife, guidance from an IBCLC, encouragement from another parent or access to the right tools when expressing milk becomes part of your journey.
Whatever form it takes, support helps parents feel informed, confident and less alone.
