Supplemental Nursing System (SNS)

The Ardo Supplemental Nursing System (SNS) is a feeding aid that enables needs-based supplementary delivery of breast milk or complementary nutrition directly at the breast. It is used when milk supply is insufficient, infant weight gain is inadequate, breastfeeding needs to be re-established, or in specific situations such as adoption, premature birth, or feeding challenges following medical intervention.

By providing supplementation at the breast, the SNS supports physiological sucking behaviour and may help reduce reliance on bottle feeding during periods of breastfeeding vulnerability. Flow regulation is governed by gravity and negative pressure; adjusting bottle height and using the optional tube clamp, allows controlled regulation of milk flow and encourages more active sucking, which can support gradual weaning from supplementation.

The system includes a bottle, silicone tubing with valves, connection components, and adhesive strips. All parts meet regulatory food-safe standards and can be cleaned or disinfected, including via microwave sterilisation. Additional tubing allows hygienic, dry-tube use for each feed.
